OTUS is SkyRadar's Mid-Range Radar for Civil Aviation, Urban Management and Perimeter Surveillance, covering distances from 0 to > 1000 m. It operates with 24 GHz - requiring no operating permission in many countries. The radar communicates with the home-based via (W)-LAN. Many applications for civil monitoring or surveillance purposes are available.
The system is equipped with a horn antenna. It is protected against dust and splashing water, perfectly suited for outdoor operation.
The product can be installed as a static radar or placed on a rotary tripod. The system is not suited for mobile or military applications.
Voltage Requirements | 12V |
Carrier Frequency | 24 Ghz |
Modulation | FMCW |
Range | 0 ... 1000 m |
Resolution at 0 ... 100 m | 1 m |
Dimensions | 190 x 179 x 90 mm |

The transmitter works with 1 emitting and 3 receiving channels and a very low phase noise.
The data of the 3 channels is digitized and processed in the Otus-radar, performing range and Doppler FFTs, benefiting of an update rate of 20 measurements per second.
The signal processing (range and velocity) is conducted through a 256 point FFT with an update rate of 50 ms.
