Air traffic safety electronics personnel (ATSEP) is a job profile in Air Traffic Control. The term was coined by ICAO. ATSEP are electronic engineers in charge of creating and supporting ground-based electronic hardware and software systems used to support air navigation and air traffic management.

Given the continuously growing air traffic (8.2 billion air travellers in 2037) and the plethora of new technology which keeps on entering the field of ground-based aviation, it is highly likely that there will be a continued demand for ATSEP during the next 20 years at least.
