FreeScopes AI 1 equips ATSEP trainees with skills in target detection, data interpretation, and anomaly analysis for effective AI-based air traffic management.

Welcome to our introduction to FreeScopes AI 1, SkyRadar’s specialized AI training solution for ATSEP. FreeScopes AI 1 immerses trainees in essential AI applications for air traffic control, including target detection and classification to identify and distinguish objects, and interpretation tasks such as finger sign analysis for pattern recognition. It also enables anomaly and degradation analysis for identifying system irregularities or performance drops. By mastering these skills in a real-time simulation environment, ATSEP professionals are equipped to handle AI-driven systems for predictive maintenance, advanced monitoring, and optimized decision-making in modern air traffic management.

Stay Tuned

Stay connected with our ongoing publications on Artificial Intelligence as we continue to explore its impact on Air Traffic Control. Our aim is to contribute to the evolving conversation around AI’s role in ATC, particularly the shifting responsibilities and qualifications of ATSEP. This will help ensure readiness for the challenges ahead in this important field.

P.S.: For the fun of it, we had AI respeak our voice with a voice-to-voice converter and also had the banner designed by AI. Actually the direct voice-to-voice sounded pretty crappy (e.g. "target" became "cargo" and "represents" became "represempts"). So we converted spoken voice to text (with time logs) and back to voice. The banner was pretty dystopian in the beginning. so we had the AI add flowers which made it - for consistency -give the whole image a more friendly pitch...  All in all we, the humans, remained in control and that should be our eventual goal in our common journey backed, and not controlled by AI. To be continued :-) !
